Water Analysis - TDS and Iron Issues

Hello Brent,

Your water test results have been completed and are attached for review.  Essentially each parameter came up in pretty good shape except for the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and the Iron being right at the staining level.  Suggested limits for TDS are 500 mg/L with a maximum recommendation of 1000 mg/L.  As TDS is a measurement of salts in the water some treatment is recommended for drinking water to reduce this level.
In regard to the reported odors, one very effective method of treatment is by way of chlorination injection, a Contact tank for appropriate retention time, along with a backwashing Carbon filter in order to catch the oxidized elemental sulfur.  Odor can come from naturally-occurring sulfur in the well water or from bacteria that release hydrogen sulfide gas.
The following method uses chlorine injection with the use of a metering pump along with a Contact Tank which provides a couple of minutes to destroy the odors along with oxidizing the small amount of Iron from the water.  Once this process is complete the water is simply filtered by a Carbon filter which removes residual chlorine along with improving tastes and odors.
In regard to the Total Dissolved Solids in the water one very effective method to remove them is with a Reverse Osmosis under-sink drinking water system.   This would be installed under the kitchen sink and a separate faucet would be included with the system which would provide bottled water quality water available at your fingertips.
Please see below for images, product links, pricing on each component, as well as other pertinent information for this option.  This system will take care of the bad tastes as reported, the Iron, as well as the odors so as to provide clean, non-staining, odor-free water for use in the home.
