The water looks good as it comes out of the well, but if I leave it sit in the dogs bowl, it will turn orange. We just moved into this house full time, whereas it used to be a weekend home. I have had some pinhole leaks in the copper pipes. We need to get this fixed, what do you recommend? We are long on time, short on cash.

Billy,
For water with a low pH of 6.0 it is a good practice to raise the pH up to neutral using an acid neutralizer filter, and then sending the water through a MangOX iron filter to take out that high amount of iron. This would give you clean, non-corrosive water without staining. To save money you do the installation yourself. We also have rebuilt systems with used filter tanks, but new media for half the price of new ones.
