Hello Clean Water People,
Our water is really extremely awful. It is full of iron, smells bad and miserable to shower in. Soap won’t lather and we think the water must be very hard. I am sending you a sample, please test it and let me know what we need. We have 4 persons in the home, although sometimes its just my husband and me. My husband said he checked the well flow and we have at least 10 gallons per minute he think.

Thank you for sending in your water samples. To treat your extremely awful water, we can recommend using a Precision-24 chlorine injection metering pump, which provides extra strength oxidation for killing bacteria and oxidizing very high levels of iron and manganese (which can be linked with sulfur odors). Following the point of injection, the chlorine would then feed into a 40-gallon contact tank to provide enough contact time for the solution to react with the iron, manganese and bacteria in the water.
Following the large contact tank, the water should pass through a backwashing Pro-OX iron filter, which will collect all of the iron and manganese and flush it out automatically to drain. After the iron filter, a carbon filter will remove any chlorine residual and any remaining odors.
